Process
How a project moves through the studio.
Premium work runs on a clear process. This is what happens between the moment you write and the moment the files are in your hands — and what happens after.
- 01 Day 0
Inquiry
You write. I read every inquiry personally — no auto-replies, no triage layer. Tell me what you're trying to make, when, and what you want to walk away with. The more specific, the more useful my reply.
If your project is a fit, I'll come back within one business day with questions, a rough scope, and a 15-minute call invite.
- 02 Week 1
Discovery call
A short conversation to align on what the work needs to do — for whom, in what light, against what constraints. Not a sales call. The goal is to leave with a shared picture of the assignment.
Most calls run 15–30 minutes. Sometimes a venue scout or location walk follows for property or wedding work.
- 03 Week 1–2
Scope & quote
I send a fixed-price proposal with scope, deliverables, timeline, and a clear single line item — capture, edit, and delivery. No hourly billing, no per-photo charges, no retouch upcharges.
A retainer holds the date. Balance is due at delivery.
- 04 1–4 weeks before
Pre-production
Location prep, shot list, weather + light planning, FAA paperwork for any restricted airspace, gear allocation. For destination work, travel logistics are coordinated here.
I'll share a brief one-pager so we're aligned on the morning of.
- 05 On location
Shoot day
I'm shooting, not directing a crew. One photographer, start to finish — stills, motion, and aerial captured in the same session when the assignment calls for all three.
Field-charged lookbook within 24 hours so you see what's coming.
- 06 1–4 weeks after
Edit & deliver
Every frame is edited and graded by me — no outsourced editors, no template presets. Films cut here too: rough cut, your notes, final pass.
Delivery via a private gallery; downloads in print-ready and web-ready resolutions, plus video files in your needed formats.
- 07 Open-ended
After delivery
Files are archived for at least three years. License extensions, additional edits from the same shoot, and re-grades for new uses are straightforward — write whenever you need them.
Most clients come back. The first project is usually the start.
Ready to start?
Inquiry is the first step.
Tell me about the project — even rough is fine. I'll come back with questions and a clear path forward.
I read every inquiry personally. Reply within one business day.
